The "Late Check-Out" Program for Guangzhou hotels has new members. The program, which was initiated by over 300 hotels recently, is growing in popularity. On June 16th, another 200 hotels have joined the program. Thus, now more than 500 hotels will practice the "Late Check-Out" courtesy program, most of which will prolong the program to the end of August.

Li Fan, Secretary-general of the Guangzhou Hotels Association, said "it is impractical to launch a full-blown 'late check-out' as the international practice of 'check-out at 12:00' will continue".

Li Fan explained "if all the guests are allowed to check out at 2:00 or 4:00 p.m., what about the next guests?" Late check-out will also lead to changes of hotel management, and other work procedures, therefore, the practice of 'check-out at 12:00' will not be changed for Guangzhou's star hotels".
