Service Excellence Training came back again on Wednesday afternoon involving 150 taxi drivers as trainees and the lecturer Mr. Francois Cnockaert, General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou.
Service Excellence Training for the Guangzhou taxi drivers started from January, 2008. It is collaborated by the Guangzhou Taxi Association and The Ritz-carlton, Guangzhou, aiming to better the taxi service in Guangzhou and to set up good image of the city for visitors.
During the training, Mr. Cnockaert explained what is "Luxury Service" in his own experience. "I have worked in 3 continents, 8 countries, riding in more than 50,000 taxis," he said, "Luxury doesn't have to be associated with money. Luxury is making people feel good." . The Frenchman often took a taxi in Guangzhou. "Taxi service has a lot to be improved all around the world, not only in Guangzhou." he said, "I even want to have my own taxi company and train my drivers all by myself."
The trainees not only learned how to serve people by heart during the training, but also gained some tips of simple English for their driving trip from the "Guanghzou Taxi Driver Service Card" designed by Mr. Cnockaert.
The training was set with Guangzhou's Guangjun Taxi Company, the "yellow cabs". Guangjun is one of the three biggest taxi service providers in Guangzhou, and features all local Cantonese drivers and good service.
