To effectively solve the baghouse dusts produced in the process of stainless steel production by the Lianzhong Stainless Steel Corporation and the metal dust and iron oxide powder produced by its Cold Rolling Factory, the Guangzhou Development District plans to build a new project to reuse 60,000 tons of stainless steel metallurgical residues annually.

Yieh United Steel Corporation (YUSCO) plans to set up the Liancheng (Guangzhou) Recycling Resources Co., Ltd. alongside the Lianzhong Stainless Steel Corporation. The new company plans to introduce the world's most advanced RHF&SAF metal recycling technology, now only three sets in the world.

It will re-smelt the metal compositions (mainly Fe, Cr, Ni and etc.) contained in the baghouse, metal dust and iron oxide powders produced by the Lianzhong Corporation into steel ingots to be used as raw materials so as to form a sound resource comprehensive utilization chain.

The project has currently entered the phase of public participation in environmental impact assessment, and the public can contact the construction unit or the environmental impact assessment agency through telephone, mail and other methods to present their written or oral opinions.
