A 29-year-old Shenzhen woman got cholera after she and her husband took part in a tour group to Thailand. Now she is receiving treatment in a Shenzhen hospital.
The cholera case has soon been reported to Guangdong Provincial Department of Health and the Center for Health Protection of Hong Kong Department of Health.
The woman's husband, 49, who lives in Hong Kong, had similar symptoms like watery diarrhea and vomiting on October 1. But the symptoms have faded away.
The Center for Health Protection of Hong Kong Department of Health has contacted other 29 persons in the same tour group for further medical observation. The result reveals that no one has cholera symptoms.
