BEIJING, July 29 (Xinhua) -- The turnover of China's electronics and information industry rose 18.2 percent year-on-year to 2.17 trillion yuan (about 289 billion U.S. dollars) in the first six months of 2007, according to the Ministry of Information Industry (MII).
Of the sales revenue, manufacturing accounted for 1.91 trillion yuan, up 17.6 percent; and software, 260 billion yuan, up 23 percent.
