The White House Hotel (Baigong jiudian), with little similarities to the similarly named American building, is located in the busy city center by the beautiful Pearl River. It is 3km from the railway station and 4km from the airport. For a Chinese two star hotel the place is not bad.

The hotel has a total of 168 rooms. These rooms are fairly clean, and are well equipped, with IDD/DDD telephones, satellite television and central air-conditioning.

The hotel's main facility is its business center that can fax and photocopy, and provides access to the internet. From here or the lobby you can ask about reservation of the small and medium sized meeting rooms in the hotel. The hotel can also book tickets and tours.

Within the hotel there are a few places to go for food or refreshment. The cafeteria offers some Continental dishes among the Chinese cuisine. The Fucheng Restaurant serves Cantonese delicacies, in a mainly seafood theme. There is also a bar.
